WHY WE FOCUS ON THE UNREACHED
The heart of the Great Commission has always been to reach those who have never heard.
While much of the world has access to the Gospel, billions of people still live in regions where the name of Jesus has never been preached, churches are scarce, and believers are few or nonexistent. These are the unreached and under-reached—people for whom access to the Gospel is not assumed, but absent.
Chris Pilkerton Ministries believes the Gospel must go where it has not yet gone, not only where it is already known. This conviction shapes our priorities, our partnerships, and our prayers.
Missionary statesman Oswald J. Smith famously asked:
“Why should anyone hear the Gospel twice, until everyone has heard it once?”
That question still confronts the Church today.
This burden is not new. It is deeply rooted in Scripture and modeled by the Apostle Paul himself. Writing to the Romans, Paul explained the driving force behind his ministry:
“It has always been my ambition to preach the Gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.”
— Romans 15:20
